Fun Times at Honl’s Beach

Exploring Honl’s Beach: A Hidden Gem of Hawaii

I had the pleasure of visiting Honl’s Beach during my trip to Kona and it was one of the highlights of my vacation.

The ocean and Honl’s Beach could be seen from our Kona Reef condo. A lot of palm trees provide shade and a place to hang a hammock at the beach park.

The beach isn’t very big, but the sand is soft and there are lots of big lava rocks for sitting and watching the waves.

The waves are pretty strong, which makes swimming and snorkelling hard and sometimes dangerous. However, the strong waves bring out boarders and surfers, which is a lot of fun to watch.

Several tents, tarps, and campsites were always set up at the far end of the beach for the 10 days we were there. We never felt unsafe at the park and watched several sunsets there, but we wouldn’t go there at night or by ourselves.

This is a wonderful little beach that is perfect for lounging around on the sand while taking in the sun and the scenery. Although it wasn’t the finest beach for bathing, a lot of people were boogie boarding there.

Calm beach, where you won’t have to struggle with other people for a spot and can instead focus on connecting with the natural world around you. Facilities for showers and bathrooms may be found just over the street. if you are staying in town, you will be able to walk there.

Pleasant ambiance, helpful locals. Our time at Honll Beach exceeded all of our expectations. Getting there was simple and fast; it took us only a few minutes. All in all, it was a fantastic day. It’s wonderful because there’s a lot of simple access, and it’s just right for kids of about six years old.

During our visit, there were only a handful of other people lounging on the sand, surfing, or sunbathing. Dad and kid went surfing together. For roughly 1 hour, we just laid in our beach chairs doing nothing.
